Two die in Warri boat mishap

TRACKING__Two passengers have died when their boat capsized in Warri, Delta State, The Nation gathered.

The boat was said to have sunk as waves generated by a Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) vessel hit it. Seven other passengers were rescued, it was learnt.

The two who drowned could not swim and wore no life jackets.

The NPA was blamed for allowing boat passengers to sail without safety jackets.

An “NPA yard” source confirmed the incident, saying that a number of people have been arrested over the mishap.
