The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will discover their opponents in the group stage of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Friday.

FIFA announced that the draw ceremony will be staged at its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Argentina will now host the competition after Indonesia was recently stripped of the hosting right by FIFA.

24 countries will take part in the competition.

The biennial tournament will feature six groups of four teams.

The Flying Eagles are among the four African countries that will compete for honours in Argentina.

Ladan Bosso’s side finished in third position at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt in March
