U-20 World Cup: Six countries eliminated from competition

At least six countries have been eliminated from the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

The six teams are New Zealand, Uzbekistan, Argentina, Tunisia, Slovakia and England.

They were eliminated after losing their fixtures in the Round of 16 on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Colombia defeated Slovakia 5-0, Brazil won 4-1 against Tunisia, Italy defeated England 2-1, and Nigeria won host nation Argentina 2-0 on Wednesday night.

The last fixtures in the Round of 16 would take place later today, with Gambia facing Uruguay and Ecuador clashing with South Korea.

Meanwhile, the Quarter-final fixtures will commence on Saturday
