AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has expressed their disappointment after their 0-0 draw with Newcastle.

The Rossonero kicked off their Champions League campaign with a stalemate at San Siro stadium.

Tomori later said: “We are disappointed about the result after that performance, but we go again from here. I felt confident out there, personally.

“We defended well and got a clean sheet.”

Milan striker Olivier Giroud also said: “We gave our all but lacked a bit of luck and accuracy. We need to take some things out of this and improve, looking forward to the next game. Football is like this – sometimes it’s best to forget certain things but improve on others.”
