Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has labelled midfielder Fred ‘frenetic’ but insists the Brazilian always brings quality to the team when he is given a chance.

Fred returned to Manchester United’s lineup for their 1-0 win over Omonia Nicosia on Thursday night, combining with national teammate, Casemiro in the middle.

Fred is behind Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, and Scott McTominay in Ten Hag’s pecking order and has made just two Premier League starts this season.

The former Ajax manager said he is looking to make the most of a relationship between Casemiro and Fred, built up from their national team.
