Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Festus Keyamo (SAN), Minister of State for Labour, Employment, and Productivity, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will not violate the rule of law.
In an interview with The Tracknews , Keyamo stated that Tinubu would not abuse court rulings because he was a victim of military brutality during his struggle for democracy.
The former Lagos State governor has chronicled his proposed reforms for the Nigerian judiciary in his 80-page manifesto, according to the lawyer who is the Chief Spokesperson of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
Keyamo claimed Tinubu was the most prepared of the four presidential candidates, saying, “We have his plan about reforms and respect for the rule of law in our manifesto.” Tinubu himself was a victim of military brutality, and his government in Lagos was a victim of disobeying the Supreme Court’s decision on Local Government funds.
“He was a victim of it.” I believe he is also aware of where the shoe pinches. None of the four leading aspirants, as we dubbed them despite the fact that they were only three, fought as hard for democracy as Asiwaju. The media is well aware of this. It’s not a case of blowing one’s own trumpet. We don’t need to prove anything else. He is the only one who can be trusted more than anyone else.”
According to Track News, the current administration, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, a former military dictator, has repeatedly disobeyed court rulings.
Remember that both local and regional courts have ruled on matters involving Shiite leader Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki, and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu, but those rulings have been ignored by the current administration.
