Governor Ibrahim Gaidam , of Yobe state, has advised the youths to use their permanent voters card ( PVC) , wisely and vote APC in all elective position in the state in 2019 general election .
The event which was organised by BRA- BRA / MAI MALA youth alliance forum , attracted thousands of youths from the 17 local government areas of the state .
The governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Works , Alh. Lawan Shettima , commended the initiatives of the youths for putting up such an enlightened programmes that will make the youth to know the value of their PVC , which will enable them to vote for candidates of APC .

“You are the leaders of tomorrow that will take over from us when we finally retire from politics as you have shown to be promising Nigerians because no matter how you like your candidate , if you do not possess PVC , it will be an exercise in futility, you can not exercise your civic right “.
“ I will like to sound a note of warning to the youth , Yobe is an APC state, therefore we have no opposition . I want the youths to be of good behavior and shun all acts of thuggery during electioneering and proper election , so that our party will be victorious ,” Shettima said .
The Chairman of the youth forum , Alhaji Nature Goniri also applauded the spirit and support of the youth in embracing the forum which was formed to drum up support for the candidature of all APC aspirants in the state , particularly , the incumbent governor , Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam , who is heading to the Senate and Hon. Mai Mala Buni , the national secretary of the APC , who is the gubernatorial aspirant .“ What you are seeing today is the affirmation of the youth from the 17 local governments of the state to show and pledge their support for governor Ibrahim Gaidam and Hon. Mala Buni and all other candidates on the platform of our great party APC.
How do we elect our candidates without PVC , over 50,000 youths present here today have displayed their PVC, for everyone to see , and we have gone round all the local governments to sensitize the youths on the need to use their PVC wisely and vote for APC in the coming 2019 general election , since the youths comprise 60 percent of the eligible voters in the state “.

“ What the youths want is continuity , a lot of achievements have been recorded by this government in all ramifications and our resolve is that the incoming governor , Mai Mala Buni , will continue with the good work of total transformation of the state , in terms of youth empowerment “ Nature said .
The event was attended by members of the state executive council and top senior civil servants in the state .
