Popular commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has called out Nigerian music stars Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid for showing off luxury cars while many Nigerians face tough economic conditions.
In a viral video, the social media critic questioned their contributions to their communities and accused them of neglecting the fans who helped build their careers.
He also criticised Burna Boy for abandoning activism after becoming wealthy.
He said:
“Burnaboy, Davido, Wizkid, this idea of buying very expensive cars & rubbing it in the face of the youths, makes no sense at all. You guys don’t read the room? Don’t you see your country that Nigerians are going through very difficult times?

What are your impacts in your various States and communities? Can you beat your chests and say you’ve empowered 5k, 10k youths or your fans who stream your music and made you who you are?
Burnaboy you were once a comrade who used to call out bad government with your music, but as soon you made more money you abandoned all of that and start to buy cars and show off. You guys just use wealth to feel on top because you guys know Nigerians worship money. At this point, the three of you are ĂĽselĂŞss to Nigerians.
In their defence Portable calls out VDM for calling Davido ,Wizkid and Burna boy useless.
“VeryDarkMan mind yourself. Mind the way you talk about Davido , Burna Boy and Wizkid . They have helped lots of people. They have helped me too. Burna gave me N20m. Davido donated N300 million to charity. The N100million Don Jazzy gave you, till today, how many schools have you built?”
