Veteran Nollywood actor, Sadiq Daba, is dead

A veteran broadcaster with Nigerian Television Authority, NTA and Nollywood actor, Sadiq Daba, is dead.

Family sources said he died Wednesday evening after a prolonged battle with leukemia and prostate cancer.

His acting career, according to Wikipedia, came to prominence in the late 1970s, starring in Cockcrow at Dawn.

Mr Daba announced his diagnosis of leukemia and prostate cancer in 2017 and was supported with fundraising by several Nigerians.
