Wamakko’s Aide Abducted By Unknown Gunmen Killed

A personal aide of Senator Aliyu Wamakko, Alhaji Abba Gidan Haki, who was abducted by some unknown gunmen on Thursday in Sokoto, has been found dead.

TrackNews Online reports that the remains of Haki have been interred according to Islamic rites.

It was gathered that Haki’s body was found on the road to Durbawa in the Kware local Government of the state.

The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of the Sheikh Uthman Bin Fodiyo Juma’at Mosque, Sokoto, Sheikh Abubakar Shehu Na Liman.

The funeral was attended by Wamakko; the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammadu Dingyadi; the state acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Isa Achida; traditional rulers, Islamic cerics, members of the national and state assemblies, serving and retired civil servants, as well as thousands of sympathisers.

Haki is survived by a wife and five children.
