The deputy national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ibrahim Abdullahi has disclosed that they are disagreeing with the outcome of the 2023 presidential election which saw Bola Tinubu emerge as president-elect.
Speaking in an interview with Arise , the PDP chieftain argued that with the affirmation of Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of Osun state by the Supreme Court, they are certain that the outcome of the judgement will be in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Speaking on what the Peoples Democratic Party hope to achieve with their petition, the PDP chieftain argued that they want the cancellation of the election result.
He said if another election is conducted by the time the Court has cancelled the results of the just concluded presidential election, the Peoples Democratic Party would have a clear pathway to victory.
Ibrahim Abdullahi said “We hope they will keep pace with what they’ve started this commendable and demonstrable judgement which they’ve given in favour of the PDP, they should go further in the presidential tribunal to justify that truly, the PDP won the election like we are arguing. We are disagreeing with what we have as the outcome of the election, if what we’ve tabled before the tribunal is anything to go by, we are expecting that it will go in favour of the PDP.
“We are calling for the cancellation of the results. Unless anything goes on towards what we don’t foresee, the election will still come in favour of the PDP following the cancellation properly at the tribunal which will be affirmed by the Supreme Court ultimately.”
