Two suspected fraudsters, Rotimi Fisher and Sherif Adebayo have been arrested by the men of the Lagos State Police Command after they allegedly defrauded a 23-year-old girl in the Ipaja area of the state. According to our reporer, the suspects were arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim at the Ipaja Police Station.
It was gathered that Fisher and his friend, Adebayo, defrauded the lady a sum of N75,000 and then slept with her. While narrating how they committed the crime, Fisher revealed that he posed as a foreigner who was looking for an address in Lagos. A lot of people passed him without helping him.
However, when the lady came, she told him that she doesn’t know the address but she is ready to help him. He told her that he is a foreigner who recently came to Lagos and he doesn’t know where to go. His friend, Adebayo, who was hiding close to the place joined the discussion.
Fisher told the lady that he has some papers with him that can be converted to foreign currencies but they need to buy some chemicals before they can achieve that. Adebayo gave him N60,000 to buy the chemicals while the lady gave him N10,000 and her gold jewellery. She then went to an ATM Machine and withdrew an additional N65,000 which she gave them.
After getting the money, Fisher told them that they should meet him at an address the following day. When the lady came the next day, they told her that the spirit responsible for converting the papers to money was asking for human blood. To prevent both of them from dying, they had to sleep with her.
They managed to lure her into an uncompleted building where Adebayo had slept with her. After the girl left the uncompleted building, she reported the matter to Ipaja Police Station and within two weeks, the two suspects were apprehended.
While confessing to his crime, Adebayo revealed that he only slept with the lady once and he used contraceptives to protect himself.
