Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has congratulated Osun State Governor-elect Senator Ademola Adeleke on his election.
On Sunday evening, Obi sent a tweet from his verified Twitter account congratulating Adeleke on his well-deserved victory in the Osun governorship election.

The former governor then urged Labour Party supporters not to be disheartened by the outcome of the Osun governorship election, pointing out that the majority of the aspirants, including himself, have only been in the party for a month and are up against forces that have been entrenched in the country for two decades.

As a result, Obi asked that the outcome bolster collective resolve, emphasizing that they should not abandon their noble march to reclaim our country.

“I want to express my heartfelt personal congratulations to Sen. Ademola Adeleke on his election victory in Osun State,” he said.

“I’d also like to thank our @NgLabour candidate, Rt. Hon Lasun Sulaimon Yusuff, and his running mate, Adeola Adekunle Atanda, for a hard-fought campaign and their spirit of determination and sportsmanship, regardless of the outcome.

“The outcome of this election does not represent a verdict on the Obedient Movement Family and our supporters across the country, especially given that we have only been in the party for a month and have had to contend with forces that have been entrenched in the state for the last two decades. The Labour Party, on the other hand, has established a national presence and political impact in a matter of weeks.

“We must fortify our collective resolve to continue our valiant march to reclaim our country.”

“There is still much work to be done, so we must now devote our entire attention to the upcoming General Elections in 2023.”

“Our message of rescue and recovery will eventually reverberate throughout the country, and the majority of the Nigerian electorate will buy into our mission to reclaim Nigeria, save it from further decline, shift the national psyche from consumption to production, and shift the national psyche from sharing dwindling resources to creating wealth and combating poverty frontally. – PO”
