Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, was not present at the reconciliation meeting called by the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday.
Track News previously reported that Tinubu met with members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and some APC governors at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

The ruling party called the meeting to resolve the issue of the party’s presidential campaign list and to find a way forward ahead of the 2023 general election.

However, Adamu was not present at the Wednesday reconciliation meeting.

While explaining Adamu’s absence from the meeting, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, stated that the party Chairman was in touch after sending a representative.

“The National Chairman was not missing,” Morka said, adding that “he was adequately represented by the Deputy National Chairman, North and his counterpart in the South.”

“He communicated with every stakeholder present at the meeting.” The candidate informed them of his inability to attend, but he was adequately represented.”

In response to the controversy surrounding the party’s campaign funds, the National Publicity Secretary stated that there were outstanding issues that would be addressed in due course.

“Our campaign financing is really important because you can’t do much without it,” he said, “but that is a subject that we will discuss in due course.”

The APC has formed a Campaign Council Harmonisation Committee.
To harmonize its contentious Presidential Campaign Council, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formed a campaign council harmonisation committee.

After failing to reach an agreement on several issues, the harmonisation committee was formed in response to the controversy surrounding the list presidential campaign council.

Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council (PCC), revealed that the committee had been tasked with reducing the manifesto documents to major highlights.
