JUST IN: Adamu, Minister of Education, Admits Failure

Mallam Adamu Adamu, Nigeria’s Minister of Education, admitted he failed in his official duties because he was unable to deal with several challenges that severely impacted the educational system in recent years.
Adamu, speaking at the 66th National Council on Education (NCE) in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja on Thursday, reflected on the challenges he faced as Education Minister, having held the position for the longest time.
The Minister emphasized that, from out-of-school children, which has increased during his tenure, to Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) challenges,
) and other problems plaguing the tertiary education system, he was unable to offer viable solutions.
Adamu, on the other hand, accused the state’s education ministries of contributing to his failure as a Minister.
