Gov. Diri pays condolence visit to Sambo’s family of Odi
Attends funeral of late father of Director of Domestics, John Sambo
“We are here, my brother to join you in your moment of grief, and as I keep saying, there is nobody that is too old to die or too young to die.
Death is a necessary end, that will come when it will come, and now, death has come knocking here, and we are here to bury our father, Pa Ikisa Opokuma Sambo, a retired Warrant Officer in the Nigerian Army.
Of course, he has done very well in serving this country as a Soldier, and today, in the presence of members of his family, and his son who works with me as Director of Domestic Affairs, our late father has left good legacies that will last for a very long time.
On behalf of the government and good people of Bayelsa State, we stand here to extend our deepest condolences to this family, the people of Odi. We believe that our father has done well, and at his own time. We believe that he is going to rest in eternal peace.”
