Blackout in Abuja as truck rams into TCN transmission tower
There has been power outage in some parts of Abuja as a truck ran into the transmission tower of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN.
It was learnt that for over 24 hours some parts in Abuja such as Dutse, Dawaki and Gwarinpa experienced power outage.
It was confirmed the situation in a statement released on Tuesday by TCN’s general manager, public affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah.
Mbah disclosed that the incident resulted in restricted outage in Maitama, Wuse, Central Area, and some parts of Garki.
She said, “Transmission Company of Nigeria hereby states that it is working assiduously to put in place a bypass from the Katampe Substation to the GIS substation in the Central Area to restore power supply to the area and environs
