2023: For contesting Reps seat against his son, El-Rufai revokes former ally’s C-of-O
A former ally of Kaduna State governor and the incumbent member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Samaila Abdu Suleiman is facing demolition of his residence where he lives with his family in Kaduna.
The lawmaker has acknowledged the revocation of his Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) and is awaiting demolition of his residential building any moment from now.
The estranged lawmaker later parted ways with El-Rufai as he was denied a return ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as El-Rufai insisted on replacing him with his son, Bello El-Rufai in 2023 general election.
Suleman later defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and secured a return ticket and is slugging it out with El-Rufai’s son.
Reacting to the planned demolition of his house on his Facebook page, Hon. Suleman strongly criticised the action of El-Rufai and reminded him that “power is is transient.”
He however, said, the travail would further strengthen him even as he await the demolition.
He wrote: “I am in receipt of a letter from my governor, H.E. Nasir El-Rufai revoking the Right of Occupancy of my residence in Kawo New Extension, Kaduna.
“We are expecting demolition any moment.”
