APC has billions to spend, We LP Don’t have plenty to spend but we have the people to vote- Adebanjo
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s candidate for the Lagos Gubernatorial election, visited Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere, at his residence on Sunday, as shown in a video he posted. During the visit, Pa Adebanjo discussed the Guber polls and expressed confidence in Gbadebo’s victory, stating that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would be surprised when he emerges victorious.
He also claimed that the APC cannot win the election unless they rig it and warned that any attempt to prevent Lagosians from voting for their choice would be met with fierce resistance.
According to Pa Adebanjo, the APC has billions to spend on the election, but that does not guarantee their victory. He stated that despite the Labour Party’s lack of resources, they have the support of the people.
He emphasized that there is no other candidate for the election except Gbadebo and warned the security agencies to beware of thugs and to let INEC carry out its responsibilities.
The leader of Afenifere also admonished the police to be mindful of their duties during the Guber election, stating that during the Presidential election, they folded their arms while thugs brutalized and killed people despite the presence of about 30,000 policemen.

It is an honor to be endorsed by Pa Adebanjo and Afenifere, great elders of our people who have championed & looked out for the interests of Yoruba people and Nigerians as a whole for decades.
I will carry on their values and spirit as Governor.

He urged them not to allow anyone to push them to the wall, emphasizing that they would resist. In conclusion, he reiterated that the APC would be shocked by the results of the election unless they rig it, as the people of Lagos are in support of the Labour Party.
