Tinubu, Adamu Begin Meeting With National Assembly Members-Elect At Aso Rock
The leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently in a crucial meeting with senators and members of the House of Representatives elected on the platform of the party.
TrackNews reports that the meeting is taking place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with all the leaders of the ruling party in attendance.
The President-elect, Bola Tinubu; Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) are in attendance.
Also present at the meeting are Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu; former Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume; the senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Ogun East Senator, Solomon Adeola, and several others.
There are claims that the meeting will address the issue of zoning the Senate Presidency, Speaker for the House of Reps and other principal offices of the National Assembly ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly in June.
Also, the call for the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu, and the Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, will be discussed in the meeting.
