Peter Obi Would Be Sworn In As President & The Igbos Will Not As For Any Compensation – Dr Ezeife
Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a past governor of Anambra State, is hopeful that Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president in the most recent general election, will take office.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress the election’s winner on February 25.
Ezeife, however, said he thinks Obi will be the president in an exclusive chat with Vanguard paper.
He asserts that Mr. Peter Obi will win the election and take office as president. If this happens, he claimed, Igbo people won’t ask for benefits on their own.
The senior politician added that he believes a new Nigeria will emerge after Obi is inaugurated.
According to him, “Peter Obi would be sworn in as President, ushering in a new Nigeria.” The Igbo would ask for no favors, no privileges, and nothing unique in that new Nigeria where Peter would be President.” During the interview, the former Anambra state governor was cited by Vanguard paper as saying.
