Don’t Undermine My Significance After Leaving Office Because I Am Very Well Respected-Wike Warns
Former Rivers state governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has issued a strong warning to those who diminish his value after leaving office. Wike warned individuals who assume his privilege will lessen with the end of his governorship to be cautious. He highlighted that an individual’s level of influence within their state and political party is the actual measure of importance. Wike asserted that he is still well regarded and revered in his state, surpassing the treatment accorded to his predecessors.
The former governor proudly remarked that he held himself in high respect, expressing his satisfaction with his term in office. He also expressed gratitude for the constant support he received from his constituents during his tenure in office. This endorsement attests to the former governor’s achievements and the deep bond he has with the people he ruled.
“Those people don’t realize that what matters is someone’s level of influence in one’s state and party,” he says. They regard me as very important in my current situation. The sort of respect they show me has never been shown to previous presidents.”
Furthermore, Wike used the occasion to criticize present leaders, claiming that they failed to prove their worth during the presidential election. He positioned himself as a supporter of efforts that promote national unity, emphasizing that he had no regrets about his stance. Wike’s words show that he believes his policies are dictated by the desire for a united and cohesive nation.
