Court fixes February 4 for ruling on suit against INEC, APC
The Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State, has fixed February 4, next year, for ruling over a suit filed by the factional candidate for Warri North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Wilson Alatsha, against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), All Progressive Congress (APC) and the other candidate, Mr. David Aitie. Justice E. Nwete gave the adjournment after listening to counsels of both complainants and the respondents. The complainant (Alatsha) had filed an Originating Summon with suit Number: FHC/WS/CS/102/2018 through his counsel, Mr. Othadua Okpakpor on October 29, against the INEC, APC and Aitie as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respondents respectively. The complainant is challenging the 1st and 2nd respondents for stealing the mandate duly given to him by the people of Warri North in the October 6, APC primary election for the Warri North Constituency in the state House of Assembly.
