APC to Adediran: Your Return Is a Wise Decision, You Won’t Regret It

The Lagos State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has welcomed Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, the 2023 PDP governorship candidate, back into the party, assuring him that rejoining the APC is a decision he will not regret.
Speaking during Adediran’s visit to the state secretariat with his Lagos4Lagos team, APC State Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi described the return as timely and significant, particularly with the 2027 general elections ahead. He emphasized that the party is open and accommodating, and noted that Adediran, a founding member, had simply returned home.
“We were once together building this party. His return is a positive step, and I can assure him this decision will prove right,” Ojelabi stated. He added that arrangements are already in place to reintegrate Adediran and his structure.
Ojelabi revealed he first heard of Adediran’s return from the Presidential Villa and said the party would soon host a stakeholders’ meeting to formally announce the reintegration of the Lagos4Lagos movement.
In his remarks, Adediran expressed happiness to be back with the APC, describing it as a “winning family.” He emphasized that his return was not to seek positions but to strengthen the party and support President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
He also pledged to support all APC candidates in future elections and reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s constitution, urging Lagosians to stay hopeful and back the current administration.
Adediran had earlier left the APC for PDP in 2022 but resigned from the opposition party in March 2025, citing indiscipline and betrayal by its leaders.
