Scores As Bandits Abduct Many In Niger
Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,
Many residents have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in a sudden attack launched in Kuchi Community in Munya Local Government of Niger State.
A villager who spoke with our Correspondent explained that the terrorists entered the town in the midnight during rainfall and embarked on a door-to-door search where they pulled out innocent persons.
The victims were coercively gathered and instructed to move into the bush in the rain with the terrorists directing them.
Track News Nigeria learnt that some of the abductees have been trapped by the bank of the Dangunu River which is overflowing as result of the heavy rainfall that lasted for over 10 hours across the State.
Unfortunately, all efforts of our Correspondent to reach DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the Spokesperson of the Police in the State, on phone proved abortive for he did not pick his call for confirmation.
As at the time of filling this report, Track News Nigeria couldn’t gather the exact numbers of the victims.
