Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has inaugurated water projects in Ilaje area of the state.
Speaking at the palace of His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Philip Kalejaye (Akoledoye 2, the Odede of Igbo Egunrin), the Chairman of Tony Aduro Foundation, Dr. Anthony Aduro, said the decision to dig borehole powered by solar energy at Ilumeje communities was not political, but to lay foundation that would help the communities in the Southern Senatorial District, especially in Ilaje communities.
Highlights of the event held at Adepiti family house in Igbo Egunrin were Ilaje children cultural display to welcome the donor, presentation of trophy gift to Governor Akeredolu and inauguration of water projects at Mahintedo, Igbobi, Igbolomi and Igboegunrin communities in Ilaje Local Government by the representative of the governor, the Executive Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, Mr. Goke Jatuwase.
The women could not hide their joy as they sang and praised Aduro.
Jatuwase, Oba Kalejaye and other stakeholders hailed the initiative of the donor.
The event was attended by traditional rulers and high chiefs.
