BY: Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has blocked roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State, the Track News Nigeria reports.
The mass protest action is in continuation of their efforts against the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Track News Nigeria covers that students, who defied the heavy downpour, caused gridlock on the road leading to the airport leaving many travellers stranded.
It was observed that operatives from the Lagos State Police Command, RRS operatives, Lagos Airport Police Command, and other security agencies are on ground.
The protesting students carried placards chanting Aluta songs to register their displeasure over the actions of the Federal Government.
