BREAKING: Supreme Court reserves judgment in PDP, APC’s appeals against Abia Governor Otti
The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in the appeals filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) challenging the election of Alex Otti of the Labour Party as governor.
The five-member panel, led by Justice John Okoro, adjourned the proceedings after hearing arguments from all parties involved.
The development follows the decision of the Court of Appeal in Lagos, which dismissed the petitions filed by the PDP and its candidate, Okey Ahiwe, and the APC candidate, Ikechi Emenike.
Unwilling to accept defeat, both the PDP and APC took the fight to the apex court, seeking to overturn Otti’s victory.
