AMASSOMA: APC CANDIDATES KINSMEN DISOWN HIM, VOW TO VOTE FOR HON. MOSES CLEOPAS OF PDP.

TRACKING_____Kinsmen of APC candidate in Ogboin Clan trooped out at a mega rally in Amassoma and Otuan with a resounding pledge to ensure that the PDP candidate in the forthcoming bye-elections in Bayelsa Central, Hon. Moses Cleopas is voted to represent them.

Hon. Moses Cleopas had rounded off his extensive campaign tour to the Ogboin Kingdom meeting the people in Amassoma and Otuan communities to bid and solicited their support.

In their speeches, the traditional rulers, political leaders, youths and women groups from the kingdom lauded what they said were the impressive performance of the the PDP, stating that Hon. Moses Cleopas who hails from Southern Ijaw Local Government Area is the answer to their quest and search for who will represent them and speak boldly and intellectually like Late. Hon. Moses Cleopas while unveiling his plans to the people said, ” the issues of marginalization, abandonment and exclusion, of neglect, discrimination, unfairness and injustice against the Bayelsa, Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta people which the Federal Government has been heedless, detached, and carried on with unconcerned ease are the issues he as when elected as Senator will raise and discuss to favorable conclusion.

“Come out and vote and also stay back to protect your votes because I repeat nobody can intimidate or harass you as there will be adequate security on ground.”

The members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Bonny Ayah and Chief Douyi Naigba, Hon. Jon Jon and Hon. Cleopas Carter who spoke separately in their communities said, the community was happy to identify with the PDP and Hon. Moses Cleopas because of the sense of belonging the PDP as a Party had given to them, citing the connection of Amassoma to the national grid, appointment of several indigenes to positions of public trust, construction of the Etegwe-Tombia section of the Yenagoa/Amassoma road, building of schools and the international cargo airport in the area.

He reiterated his call on the Federal Government to do everything possible to provide a level playing ground for all political parties participating in the election in order to maintain the existing peace and stability in the state before, during and after the poll.

The governor, who called for a moment of silence in honour of the late Alamieyeseigha said: “Today comes across both as a sad and happy day to me and my team. Sad in the sense that if our leader were alive, he would not have only addressed us here but would have also hosted us in his house for dinner before our departure.
