Bayelsa State Assembly Screens, Confirms 24 Commissioner-nominees

TRACKING___Bayelsa State House of Assembly has screened and cleared a list of 24 commissioner-nominees sent to the Assembly by Governor Douye Diri

The Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Abraham Ingobere, had earlier announced that the Assembly received a letter from the governor requesting it to screen 24 commissioner-nominees.

The nominees presented themselves for the screening exercise, but the Assembly gave priority to all former lawmakers who were nominated as commissioners to be screened by asking them to take a bow and go.

While other nominees were subsequently screened one after the other.

Those screened are:

Iselema Gbaranbiri, others are Chief David Alagoa, Mr. Dambo Birigha (SAN), Dr. Iti Orugbani, DR. Promise Ekio, Mr. Otokito O. Federal, Miss Faith Orubo Opuene, Mr. Obosi B. Churson, Mr. Ekisah Sinkumo, Mr. Maxwell Ebibai, Engr. Akpoebidei Alamieyeseigha, Mr. Rex Flint George, Mr. Ebitei Tonyon, Dr. Igwele Pabara Newton, and
Mr. Ayebaina Duba,

All the commissioner-nominees are expected to be inaugurated this week and be assigned portfolios accordingly.
