BAYELSA STATE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION SET TO HOLD FIRST SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (FSLCE) ON THE 14TH OF OCTOBER 2020.

TRACKING_____The Honourable Commissioner For Education Bayelsa State, Hon.Gentle Emelah has confirmed the date fixed for the 2020 First School Leaving Certificate Examination (FSLCE) which will hold on the 14th of October 2020.

He also added that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will follow soon on the 20th of October 2020.

While responding to speculations making rounds on when schools in the state will resume, the Commissioner said plans are on to ensure a safe return of pupils and students back to school but for now no official date have been reached.

He however called for calm and Understanding and also appealed to Bayelsans concerning some challenges presently faced in some of the schools,he assured Bayelsans that they are going to be looked into as he is already carrying out an inspection tour to acertain first hand what is on ground and where the government needs to come in to assist.

Honourable Emelah, also said Teachers recruitment is yet to commence as the government is just coming on board and appealed for patience and understanding as that will be done at the right time.

He ended by appreciating all his well wishers who have sent in Congratulatory messages on various platforms and called for cooperation and support from all and sundry to move the state Education sector forward.
