Breaking News: Police Nabs APC Chieftain, Benjamin Youdiowei Over Allegation Of NYSC Certificate Forgery Against Bayelsa Deputy Governor
TRACKING_____Men of the Nigerian Police Force have nabbed an All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Benjamin Youdiowei over allegation of NYSC certificate forgery against the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
A source close to the Nigerian Police Force disclosed that the APC chieftain was nabbed in Abuja a few hours ago.
It will be recalled that the media was awash of the news that one Benjamin Youdiowei dragged the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the then-Senator representing Bayelsa West senatorial district to Abuja Area 1 Court, which did not only lacked jurisdiction but was fraudulently constituted, alleging that he forged his NYSC Exemption Certificate.
However, things spun around two weeks ago when the Deputy Governor petitioned the Inspector General (IG) of Police, after he addressed the issue with a Press Conference, through his lawyer, Barr. Clement B. Kekemeke.
But, the investigation revealed that the Youdiowei who is the Chief indicter since then went into hiding upon hearing that the Deputy Governor has petitioned the IG of Police and has held a press conference, addressing the issue.
And he was being trailed by men of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID). A source disclosed that their efforts paid off this evening when Youdiowei was arrested in Abuja, and he is now currently being detailed at Asokoro Divisional Police Headquarters.
A source said both Youdiowei’s Lawyer, one Sylvanus Perebotari and Youdiowei are currently squeezed by men of the Police Force. According to the police they be charged to court any moment from now.
