Coronavirus: Ex-Militants Want Government To Pay 4 Months Allowance

TRACKING____Following the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus in some parts of Nigeria, some former Niger Delta militants in Ondo State want the Federal Government to pay them the arrears of their four-month allowance to allow them reunite with their families and stay at home.

The ex-militants, who are currently undergoing training under the Federal Government Amnesty Programme in the state, said they are affected by the outbreak of Coronavirus, which has put their training on hold.

They are being trained in various skills at the Bradama Vocational Centre in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

They said since the sack of the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Professor Charles Dokubo, their training has suffered numerous setbacks.

The ex-militants also want the Amnesty Office to provide financial assistance to them in the face of the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic to cushion the effect on them and their families.
