Senator Dino Melaye has disclosed that he will be elected the Kogi state governor by November through the forthcoming gubernatorial poll.
Melaye, representing Kogi West in the Senate had recently declared his ambition to vie for the governorship seat of Kogi under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmaker has intensified campaign with lots of posters and jingles on display on Twitter and Instagram, as well as showcased his achievements in the state.
“I will be Governor of Kogi state by the special Grace of God,” he said on his Instagram page on Sunday. He added that “knowing yourself is the very foundation of all wisdom.”
Tracknews.ng previously had reported that Melaye unveiled his poster for governorship race. The governorship aspirant released the official photo on his Instagram page on Sunday, June 2.
This came shortly after the senator declared his interest to contest the Kogi governorship election scheduled for November 16.
The senator made his intention known on Saturday, June 1, during a meeting of Kogi west PDP executives held at his country home in Aiyetoro Gbede, Ijumu local government area of the state.
