Leading PDP Governorship Hopeful, AMB Boladei Igali Vows to Make Bayelsa an Oasis of 21st Century in Nigeria

**Calls on PDP Supper Delegates to Ponder Well on the Future of the state before voting on 3rd Sept 2019.

TRACKING >>One of Nigeria’s most respected technocrats and currently the leading aspirant for Governorship of Bayelsa State under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Boladei Igali has vowed to move the state to become the focal point for 21st century living in Nigeria. He insisted that Bayelsa will, in the next few years become the pride and trailblazer of high standard of living in Nigeria.

The former Diplomat and Super Permanent Secretary now turned politician gave this assurance when he paid a working visit to the highly respected Former Legislators Forum at Ayalla Hotel in Yenagoa on Wednesday, 28th August, 2019. Accompanied by a high delegation of very senior citizens, he took time to outline his 5-Point Agenda for taking the state forward.

He detailed as follows “my target and workplan are built around the attainment of the SDG goals at the within the period. We will ensure that Bayelsa is an oasis of peace, progress and modern living. We will focus greatly on Human Development and Human Wellbeing. Our citizens will be the happiest, healthiest and safest people in our country “.

Other details of his manifesto include: Infrastructure Development, mostly using PPP and non budgetary sources; Economic and Industrial Development, to be private sector driven and leveraging on oil and l gas, agriculture, deep sea fishing, tourism; Security and Environment and Promotion of Ijaw Cultural Renaissance, including strengthening South-South and South East regional integration.

He urged the former lawmaker, which includes some former Presiding Officers from Old Rivers State and Bayelsa State, to stand ready for recall back to active service. He enjoined them to be ready to offer advise, contribute to policy and ensure implementation. Finally, he appealed to them, especially the Super Delegates to ensure that they keep the future of the state and the Ijaw Nation in view as they vote on 3rd September, 2019.

On their part, the former Legislators commended the presentation by the former Diplomat and assured him of due attention. They urged him and other aspirants to ensure that the elections are peaceful.
