President Buhari will give Nigeria a better future – APC national secretary
– Buni stated that Buhari is an honest and credible leader that Nigeria needs for the next four years
– He said APC was experiencing large influx of Nigerians into its fold in view of the president’s performance
All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretary, Alhaji Maimala Buni has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is contesting the 2019 presidential election to give Nigeria a future better.
Buni, the APC governorship candidate in Yobe state, said Buhari is an honest and credible leader that Nigeria needs for the next four years.
He said this on Wednesday, January 9, in Kafur, during a campaign rally for the re-election of Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina state.
His word: “There is no doubt that Buhari is an honest and credible leader that Nigeria needs for the next four years.
“Buhari is honest and capable of moving the country to greater heights.”
He urged youths and women to work harder to ensure the president’s re-election.
He said the APC was experiencing large influx of Nigerians into its fold in view of the president’s performance, particularly in the northwest zone.
“Now as I am speaking to you, two PDP senators in the zone have defected to APC.
“Because of the massive defection to the party, we are having problems in those areas more than in any other zone in the country,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to come out in their numbers to vote for APC candidates from top-to-bottom during the general elections.
In his remarks, Gov Aminu Masari of Katsina described President Buhari as honest and the type of leader Nigeria needed now.
Meanwhile, the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has hailed what it calls President Buhari’s open-mindedness as the 2019 general elections approaches.
The BMO was reacting to Buhari’s recent meeting with Ogun state gubernatorial candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Adekunle Akinlade alongside Governor Ibikunle Amosun. Amosun is backing the APM candidate against the APC candidate in the state, prompting some supporters of the party to accuse Buhari of endorsing the governor’s anti-party activities.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, January 8, by its chairman, Niyi Akinsiju and secretary, Cassidy Madueke, the BMO said that the meeting was not necessarily a sign of President Buhari’s endorsement of the APM candidate.
