Two arrested for raping married woman in Benue
TRACKING>>The Benue state police command has arrested two men identified as Tersoo Joseph, aka Adikpo, and Demenenge Iorwa, both pictured above, for allegedly raping a married woman and robbing her.
Parading the suspects before newsmen at the command’s headquarters yesterday February 20th, the state Commissioner of Police, Omololu Bishi, said the suspects who were part of a robbery gang, attacked and abducted a woman on February 9th, raped her and then stole her phone and the N 2, 000 she had on her
“On February 9, 2019, around 6pm, some armed robbers operating on a motorcycle behind the Bem Hotels, Ankpa Quarters, Makurdi, abducted a woman and took her to the Quararafa Quarters, Wadata, where they raped and robbed her of a phone and N2,000. During investigation, Tersoo Joseph, aka Adikpo, and Demenenge Iorwa, of Logo 1, Makurd, were arrested in connection with the case. The suspects have confessed to the crime.” he said
The police added that the suspects would be arraigned in court soon.
