REDUCE THE INTAKE OF CRAYFISH, DOCTOR WARNS
When a person consumes a lot of crayfish, the insulin-like protein moves to the kidney and blocks the blood vessels there, resulting in high blood pressure.
Professor Chidi Njemanze, a neuroscientist and a specialist in neuro-cardiology, has allegedly revealed what excessive eating of crayfish does to people’s mental wellbeing, according to an article published by Punch Newspaper this morning.
According to the details he provided, mental illness is crippling, which means it prevents people from functioning, and one of the main causes of this is the food people consume.
He claims that most people who consume crayfish in large quantities do so because they like the taste and because they don’t want to cook with bouillon cubes or other additives, so they opt to cook with crayfish in large quantities, which is harmful to their health.
Professor Chidi revealed that crayfish binding protein, an insulin-like protein, causes people’s blood to clot for no apparent reason, resulting in a heart attack or stroke. According to him, when a person consumes a lot of crayfish, the insulin-like protein moves to the kidney and blocks the blood vessels there, resulting in high blood pressure.
Giving an example, he said in Bayelsa State and Rivers State, there a lot of young boys and girls with high blood pressure and that, their life expectancy is short, as he said this is so because they do eat seafood a lot.
