The Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has warned the people of the state against casting their votes for some group of politicians in 2023.

This is as the Governor blamed the challenges facing the state on former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, and ex-Kaduna North counterpart, Suleiman Hunkuyi.

He said if not for these two people, Kaduna would have made more appreciable progress.

El-Rufai also warned the people of Kaduna against casting their votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) so that the achievements and progress already recorded in the state won’t be eroded.

While appreciating the current crop of lawmakers in the state for their support in ensuring the completion of the ultra-modern Kawo bridge, the Governor said Kaduna people should trust him to produce a competent successor in 2023.

He made the submission at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium’s Gymnasium Hall during the launching of the New Finance Function in the state.

In other news, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has slammed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just-concluded Anambra election, Senator Andy Uba, for planning to challenge the victory of its candidate, Chukwuma Soludo.

www.tracknews.ng reports that the Director of Media and Publicity of APGA Campaign Council and Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Don Adinuba, made this known in a statement on Tuesday.

Adinuba stated that Uba’s threat to challenge Soludo’s victory show disrespect to President Muhammadu Buhari who had congratulated and announced plans to work with the former CBN governor.

The commissioner stated Uba had no mandate to recover, saying the APC candidate’s move to challenge the result in the law court is a waste of time.
