The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the 2023 House of Representatives election for Ogbia Federal Constituency, enjoined the people not to despair, insisting that the new year holds so much promise to better their lives.

He said: “I felicitate with all Bayelsans, especially members of my Ogbia Federal Constituency and I say a Happy New Year. We have the mercy of the Almighty God to see 2023 and that should not be taken for granted.

“I know that 2022 was a tough year for most people but I strongly believe that this new year has come with a lot of positive things and so we all should reset our minds and embrace the year.

“As we all know, the elections are in few weeks. I want to again urge the people of Ogbia and Bayelsans in general to vote for only credible people with proven track record of performance. This is one sure way to turn things around in our dear state.

“It is only when the right people are in positions of authority that you will begin to see the desired change and development. So, I urge Ogbia people and Bayelsans at large to be intentional about their future”.

He also appealed to the people, particularly youths to echew violence and resist the temptation of being used as political tools to undermine the general elections.
