3SC ex-Chair, Lakondoro buried in Ibadan
A former Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, also known as 3SC, Pa Samson Olayiwola Lakondoro, has been buried.
The deceased died in the early hours of Thursday in Ibadan at the age of 111.
He was buried in Ibadan on Thursday at his residence located at Ologuneru area of Ibadan.
The event had in attendance the Executive Chairman of 3SC, Babatunde Olaniyan, the Director of Administration and Supply of 3SC, Alhaji Rahman Olapade and Mr Femi Oyeniyi.
Olaniyan in his remarks described the death of the deceased as a huge loss, not only to the club but the football fraternity.
He added that the deceased contributed to the growth of the club.
“We’ve lost a passionate lover of Shooting Stars and the round leather game as a whole. He was such a die hard fan of the club, even at his old age
“As the chairman of 3SC, he contributed immensely to the success of the club and even after leaving office, he dedicated his time to supporting the club”, said Olaniyan.
“We take solace in the fact that Baba lived a fulfilled life and enjoyed the labour of his hands till he died at a ripe age. We pray God grants him eternal rest,” he added
