Benin City metropolitan chapter of the National Association Of Seadogs Distributes Relief Materials To Flood Victims.
“Human cannot survive without society and society cannot exist without members” …. Peter Critchley
Peter Critchley’s view practically came to play on Friday when a Popular confraternity delivered relief materials and ensures free Medical outreach to the flood- affected people of Patani and Adagbabiri communities of Delta and Bayelsa states respectively.
The National Association of Seadogs, popularly known as the Pyrates Confraternity, is a confraternity organization in Nigeria that is normally University-based. The group was founded in 1952 by the “Magnificent Seven”, to promote human rights and social justice for Nigerians.
Benin city Metropolitan Chapter Sea Dogs, who are committed to being active contributors to human race, visited flood victims in Patani and Adagbabiri communities, exhibited their stance by donating relief materials such as food items, insecticide treated nets, blankets and drugs etc.
Speaking, the Capone of the Benin Chapter of the Confraternity, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, who led the group to the communities, stated that their motivation was borne out of their concerns for human rights and social justice, and it was not unconnected to their visions to championing well coordinated human race and support for Nigerians.
Seadogs accomplishes their vision through their charitable donations such as this. The Capone pleaded with the communities to ensure dispassionate and equal distribution of the relief materials to every member of the benefiting communities, to heal the wounds the flood has inflicted on them. Dr Chris Ekiyor said though they can not guarantee fulfillment of the yearning of the people of the Communities, justice should prevail in the distribution of the donated relief materials.
The beneficiaries of both Patani and Adagbabiri communities appreciated and thanked the Benin City metropolitan chapter of the National Association of Seadogs for the kindness shown to them.
In conclusion remarks, the Royal Highness of Adagbabiri community, HRH Alaowei Broderick Okee thanked and prayed for Dr Chris Ekiyor and members of the ” Pyrates Confraternity”.
