Dagogo remains in custody as trial adjourns
Freedom remains far for embattled member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Farah Dagogo on Monday when the Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt adjourned his trial till May 23rd.
There was hope that the court would grant Dagogo bail but it was dashed when the police failed to produce the lawmaker in court.
Rivers arraigned Dagogo on two-count of conspiracy to felony and cultism following his arrest by the police a day after Governor Nyesom Wike declared him wanted.
Dagogo, who had spent over 10 days in police custody, was not available when the court presided over by Magistrate Amadi Nna resumed hearing on the matter.
The Prosecutor, Chidi Eke, said the State had filed fresh charges against Dagogo, whose application for bail filed by his lawyer, Femi Adegbeti would be heard on May 23rd.
