FG, ASUU Yet To Resolve Issues After 3 Meetings

Since the lecturers resumed strike on November 5, 2018, over demands for improved funding of public universities based on agreements reached with the Federal Government in 2009, the two bodies have met three times with the aim of bringing a lasting solution to the problem.
The first meeting of both parties was on November 15, 2018, while the second was on November 22, 2018 and the third was held yesterday.
The national president of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, told LEADERSHIP that another date will be scheduled for the continuation of the negotiation.
“ We have finished with the meeting of today. The meeting continues at a later date,” he said.
