Gov. Ugwuanyi has shown Nsukka the light – Royal fathers

Traditional rulers of Nsukka Town’s nine autonomous communities said yesterday that Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is the first leader in the state’s history to bring modern amenities to the area, such as street and traffic lights, township stadiums, and good road networks, among other numerous development projects.

The royal fathers stated that Governor Ugwuanyi, who is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Enugu North Senatorial District in the 2023 general election, went on to establish in Nsukka Zone a specialized medical university and the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State.

They thanked Governor Ugwuanyi for bringing Nsukka back to life despite the state’s limited resources and the nation’s economic and security challenges, assuring him that the people of Nsukka Town will vote for him overwhelmingly in the upcoming general election to represent Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

The traditional rulers also promised the governor that the people of Nsukka Town would vote massively for the PDP’s governorship candidate, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, his running mate, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, the party’s candidate for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency, Engr. Vita Abba, and the PDP’s candidates for Nsukka West and Nsukka East, Hon.

Speaking when Nsukka Town people organised a grand reception for their illustrious son who is the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Walter Ozioko, the traditional ruler of Owerre Nsukka Autonomous Community, HRH. Igwe Felix Emeka Ugwu, on behalf of the monarchs, stressed that what Governor Ugwuanyi, who graced the event did for their people are numerous.

Igwe Ugwu stated that Governor Ugwuanyi “gave us street lights, traffic lights, good roads, and a new befitting stadium,” which no previous governor in Enugu had done for him.

Other speakers at the event included the Chairman’s representative, Hon. Festus Onogwu, former Commissioner for Finance in Enugu State, Hon. Mrs. Vivian Eze, former leader of the Nsukka Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Celestine Ogbu, President of the Nsukka Youth Association, Onyekachi Omeje, Hon. Amadi, and Hon. Barr. Ozioko.

They maintained that as a former ranking member of the House of Representatives and serving governor, Governor Ugwuanyi has extensive legislative and executive experience, emphasizing that if elected as a senator in 2023, he will bring even more remarkable developments to Nsukka Zone.

In a related development, the founder of Power and Victory In Christ Ministry, Nsukka, Senior Prophet Dr. Kan Ebube Muonso has predicted total victory for Governor Ugwuanyi, Dr. Mbah, Engr. Abba and all other candidates of the PDP in Enugu State at the polls.

Prophet Ebubu Muonso, who made the prediction while praying for Governor Ugwuanyi and other PDP candidates at his Nsukka ministry, assured the governor that God’s grand plan for his future endeavors will be realized.

“We the people of Ebube Muonso gathered today to pray for the success of their elections for all the candidates of the PDP, including those who are not here,” he urged the governor, assuring him of the church’s never-ending prayers.
