Hon. Dr Gentle Emelah inaugurated as commissioner of education,

………. Received symbol of Authority from the Igbos in Bayelsa State.

In a grand event held at the Executive Chamber of the Bayelsa State Government House, Hon. Dr. Gentle Emelah was inaugurated as the Honourable Commissioner of Education. The ceremony, presided over by the miracle Governor, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, also saw the appointment of various other individuals who will assist in running the affairs of the state.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the symbol of authority of the prestigious “Enyi Ndigbo Award” to Hon. Dr. Gentle Emelah. The award which was handed to Dr Gentle by Chief Dr. Emmanuel N. Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide.

This recognition solidifies the Enyi Ndi Igbo Award, which had generated considerable buzz and discussions.

During the inauguration, Hon. Chief Arthur Chinedu Felix Ugwa, the Financial Secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide Youth wing, expressed gratitude to Governor Douye Diri for selecting Hon. Dr. Gentle Emelah as the Education boss. Hon. Ugwa, who also serves as the Director General of the Unified Non Natives, assured the cooperation and support of non natives in the state, particularly the Igbos.

Hon. Dr. Gentle Emelah’s reappointment as the Commissioner of Education is a testament to his excellent work in the position previously held. With the support of the Igbos in Bayelsa State and the symbol of authority received, it is expected that he will continue to make remarkable strides in advancing the education sector in the state.
