I will respect rule of law, enforce due process – Osun governor, Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has revealed that his administration is committed to the upholding of the rule of law.

Adeleke also assured that he was committed to due process particularly in the area of chieftaincy affairs in the State.

This assurance, according to a statement signed by Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, was made on Tuesday while receiving the report of the Review Committee on Chieftaincy Affairs from the members of the committee headed by Rev. Bunmi Jenyo.

Track news recalls that the Review Committee was among the panels constituted by Ademola Adeleke immediately after his inauguration on November 27, 2022.

The Committee was also mandated to look into the controversy in the chieftaincy affairs of Osun State with particular reference to all kingship appointments made after the July 16 gubernatorial election in the State.

Governor Adeleke, who commended the Committee for delivering diligently on its mandate, promised to study the report and implement the recommendations contained therein.

“The Committee’s report, when implemented, would contribute to the peaceful coexistence among the people of the State as regards traditional ruling affairs,” he said.

“I will ensure total respect for the rule of law and due process will guide all actions being done under my government,” Adeleke insisted
