The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has encouraged Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf to consider appointing members from other political parties into his cabinet to create an inclusive government that allows a diverse range of voices to contribute to the state’s development and the distribution of democratic benefits.

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Ralphs Nwosu made this known while addressing the press at Tahir Guest Palace after they sightsee projects executed by Governor Yusuf.

However, the group comprising leaders of all political parties in Nigeria then gave Governor Yusuf a pass mark after visiting about 11 projects ranging from education, health, agriculture, physical infrastructure and human development.

According to Chief Nwosu who spoke on behalf of IPAC National Chairman, Engr. Sani Yabagi, the idea behind their project tours across states in Nigeria was to encourage good governance.

He stressed the need for Governor Yusuf to extend the hands of governance to members of other political parties, insisting that such a gesture will heal old wounds and ensure further development in the state.

He said this administration has paid its dues, having carried out such gigantic projects within a space of six months, without borrowing funds for execution.

According to him, “We are working in tandem with the virtues of Democratic principles to see that the quality of Governance been adequately taken care of, and we cannot have that without going down to see for ourselves”.

He said among the things they want to observe in every State is also to see continuity in the place where a new Government took over so that the meaning of Governance will be fully entrenched

Chief Nwosu noted that described the security situation in Kano as very impressive while appreciating government workers for what they have done so far in driving the wheels of socio-economic development in the state.

“We discovered that what Kano State Government is doing is in complete alliances with the principles of the IPAC, and we understand in our discussion with some of the government officials that they carried out their jobs without necessarily borrowing”.

His words “We have a lot of things to point out which the government has done well. This is a government that has been following their policies, and we commend them for that.”

He disclosed that the situation in Kano in terms of the dispensation of democratic dividends was very encouraging, promising to make the comprehensive report of their findings available to President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly for appraisal and commendation.
