Defence Chief Leo Irabor Asks 50 Army, Air Force, Navy Generals To Resign Immediately

It was gathered that 25 of the military general are the Nigeria Army, while others are in the Air Force and Navy.

According to Daily Post, General Irabor gave the order at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on Monday.

He reportedly thanked them for their service and told all present that it was high time they left office.

“They are about 50; 2 of them in the Army will retire in 2022, while the rest have about 3 and half years left in service”, the source told Daily Post.

Naija News reports that Course 36 Generals still have more than three years before their retirement.

Troops of the Nigeria Army have rescued one of the two traditional rulers kidnapped in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State on Sunday.

www.tracknews.ng gathered that the traditional ruler of Amagu Ihube, Acho Ndukwe, was rescued after the soldiers raided criminal camps in Orsu and Ihiala Local Government Areas in Anambra State.

During the raid on the camps, the troops also arrested 30 suspected kidnappers.

Recall that HRH Ndukwe and that of Ihitte Ihube, Paul Ogbu, were kidnapped during an invasion of their communities by the gunmen

The youth leader of Umuololo- Okigwe was also kidnapped and the home of a community leader, Fabian Nwosu, was destroyed.
