Confirming Soyebi’s death to The PUNCH, a top INEC official in Akwa Ibom State described the ex-REC’s demise as a sad development.

He said that though the former commissioner, an old boy of Baptist Boys High School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, died on Thursday, he was not aware of where he died.

“He has been ill; he died this morning, but I am not aware of where he died. I know some time ago, he was abroad. I don’t know where he died, but it is true,” the top official said.
